Theme: STAR HOUR

Practical aim:

1. Tо increase the student’s range of interest for Kazakhstan and Great Britain, geographical positions, history, customs and traditions, holidays and famous of Kazakh and Great Britain people
2. to check up the knowledge of lexics
3. to teach students to use the language as means of communication

Developing aim:

1. tо develop the students attention
2. to develop the quickness of the reaction
3. to develop guessing speech activity

Up-bringing aim:

1. to form the students mutual aid and  indepedence
2. to form the students regard and  initiative

Aigul R.: Good afternoon, dear teachers, students and participants. Welcome to our competition which is called “STAR HOUR”. We are glad to see you and you won’t be sorry that you come here. Today we are going to play the game which you and your friends like. Our competition consists of  7 tours. They are:

2. Great people of Great Britain and Kazakhstan
3. Geopardy
4. Polyglot
5. Splendid Seven
6. Countries

Igor: Hello, dear teachers and students. My name is Zamanbek. I am the captain of this group. I study at Auto road  college.Today  we want to take part in this competition and to compare my knowledge with other students.

Meiramgul: Our 1^st round is called “The Great people of Great Britain and Kazakhstan”. Look at these names, listen and say who I am speaking about them.

1. He was a writer , one of the founders of Kazakh Soviet literature. He wrote novels, stories, text-books. The most famous of his works is the novel “Abay”. (M.Auezov)

Aigul R.:   Let’s start the next round. The next tour is called  «Countries». As you see I have flags of many countries and your task to guess to which countries belongs these flags and say the capitals of cities.

Aigul R.:   Thank you for your participation! It was great for us. Now, our juries will count balls and announce The WINNER of our competition which is called STAR HOUR!
